Autodesk Maya 3d Model

This was a two person project created by myself and one of my peers, Robert Sutcliffe. We 3d modeled, textured, lighted, and rendered the University of North Carolina Asheville’s New Media department art gallery to be used for virtual exhibitions of future students’ work. The first week was spent getting measurements and pictures of walls, objects, pipes, and floors in the room. Once having reference images and measurements, I focused on modeling the pipes, grid, and lights on the ceiling while Robert worked on modeling other assets in the room such as light switches, air vents, outlets, exit signs, etc. After us having most of the modeling complete, Robert worked on texture maps for assets such as the floor, projectors, and artwork, while I worked on lighting the scene accurate to a gallery display. Once having lit and put artwork in the scene, Robert and I rendered images, some taking up to 8 hours, from multiple angles to show our final product.
